Where Creativity Meets Community: Pumpkin Painting at Manhattan Brewing

Listen to Full Audio Feature StoryBy Bella Zarate

This week, Manhattan Brewing Company hosted a fun pumpkin painting evening in their

downtown tap room, bringing the community together. Families, students, and long-time locals

all came out to enjoy seasonal fun in a warm and inviting setting.

“Even if you’re just an observer to whatever event’s going on, it’s nice to see our

community come together in a place where they feel safe and welcomed,” said Jake Voegeli.

Co-owner Jake Voegeli mentioned that events like this are exactly what the brewery wants to

offer to Manhattan – a spot where folks can take a break, connect, and have some quality time

together. The atmosphere was lively but chill, with some people deeply engaged in painting

pumpkins while others just enjoyed chatting and sipping their drinks. For many attendees, it was

a nice way to relax after a hectic week.

“It’s kind of like a stress reliever. It’s like you work so hard, and people don’t

really teach you coping or what to do when you’re stressed out”

Local resident Erica pointed out that the brewery has something for everyone, even for those

who prefer to just sit back and watch. She noted that the warm, inviting vibe is what keeps

people coming back – a place where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and part of the greater

Manhattan Community.

If you couldn’t make it to this event, don’t worry – there are more chances to join in the fun.

Manhattan Brewing Company has a full schedule of fall and winter activities coming up, like

trivia nights, seasonal beer releases, holiday gatherings, and one of their big hits, Wing Wars.

They also host the annual Frog Wizard Music Festival, plus plenty of festive events as the

holidays get closer.

“Coming up, we will probably do some fun Christmas stuff. Every year, we host a

Frog Wizard Music Festival, which is awesome. And then we do our Wing Wars, which is one of

our biggest events. We’re definitely doing those again.”

Anyone who wants to stay in the loop should definitely follow @ManhattanBrewing on social

media. All events are open to people of all ages and are designed to strengthen community ties

throughout the year.
