Why Should you donate?
Wildcat 91.9 is the longest running student led radio station in the country, perhaps even the world. We want to continue this prestigious tradition for another seventy years and then some. In 2020, the station received word that every year our budget would be cut by the K-State SGA until it would become impossible for us to exist. The charitable giving team is dedicated to creating an endowment that would give the station the financial independence it needs to exist for not just another seventy years, but to be a permanent fixture on the campus of Kansas State University.
Who does it help?
One of the unique aspects of being located on the campus of a major university is that any student who wants the opportunity to expand their horizons as a media creator can do so in a safe and professional learning environment. Wildcat 91.9 has acted as the training grounds for some of K-State's brightest media alumni: John Kurtz (610 Sports Radio), Brian Smoller (K-State Athletics, Senior Director of Broadcasting Services) and Mitch Holthus (Voice of the Kansas City Chiefs). Your support allows Wildcat 91.9 to continue this esteemed legacy of media professionals to continue into the next generation of students coming to K-State.
