Eight years after the inception of the Kansas State Women's soccer program, they set a record that could propel it to new heights.

Led by two goals put up by Sophomore forward Ryann Reynolds, Kansas State posts six goals en route to a 6-1 victory over the Green Bay Phoenix. This is the highest final point total in the history of Kansas State Soccer.

The game kicked off with a slow-moving opening twenty minutes until Ryann Reynolds got the Cats on the board 23 minutes in. This began the scoring brigade, which included another goal from Ryann Reynolds and singular goals for Jo Sees, Allison Marshall, Morgan Struttman, and Riley Baker.

Kansas State posted a season-high twenty shots, eleven of which were on goal.

In a post-game interview with K-State athletics, head coach Mike Dibbini gave glowing reviews of Reynolds's play and was optimistic about his team's momentum.

“Ryann has adapted very well. She's finding the back of the net. She's scoring goals for us, which is much needed. I think she should have some good confidence right now.”

“If we continue to play how we're capable of playing stylistically, that would be a big bonus for us. And we saw that tonight and were able to use our depth as well. So, there are many positives to take away from tonight, but we still have a lot of work to do.

This is the Cats' most explosive offensive performance this season, and it could propel them into the future with a newfound confidence. This Sunday, they will return to action to take on South Dakota at Buser Family Park at 1 p.m. Catch the action on Wildcat 91.9.
