Kansas State starts three-match homestand against Houston
The Kansas State volleyball team welcomes the Houston Cougars for their first home match in three weeks on Sunday afternoon at Morgan Family Arena.
Kansas State (9-0) is coming off a reverse-sweep win over UCF on Thursday, where they lost the first two sets and came back to win the final three. It was the first five-set match of the season for the Wildcats, who were led by freshman Addison Massey with 22 kills, and she was joined by sophomore Sydney Maue and freshman Reese Resmer as the three players to record double-digit kills. Sophomore Lauren Latham had a big match as well with 20 assists.
The Wildcats are off to their best start since 2012 and are trying to protect their title of being one of only five remaining undefeated teams in Division 1.
Houston (7-5) is still looking to find their footing this season. On Friday, they were swept by Kansas to open Big 12 play, making it their third straight-set loss this season. The Cougars started the season 4-1 and will try to get a key win before returning home to play Cincinnati on Friday night.
The first serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., and coverage will be available on both ESPN+ and Wildcat 91.9 with Hank Corsair and Gianni Assante on the call and Peyton Selby on the sideline.
