K-State Welcomes New Head Coach Collin Klein Back to Manhattan

Kansas State’s newest head coach, Collin Klein, arrived in Manhattan today as all of Wildcat nation welcomed him home.

A ceremony was held in Morgan Family Arena today at 4:00 p.m. to reintroduce the former Wildcat player and coach formally. Most notably, Klein was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2012. After a two-year stint with the Texas A&M Aggies as their offensive coordinator, Klein will finish out the college football playoffs and then fully become K-State’s head coach.

Collin Klein walks out for his first press conference as the new head coach of K-State Football.

The most notable non-attendee at the welcome was recently retired and the previous head coach of the Wildcats, Chris Klieman. Klein’s next appearance in front of Wildcat Nation is Saturday night at the men’s basketball contest against Seton Hall.

He is likely to share encouraging words at halftime, much like the words he shared today. In a fast-changing and often broken world of college football, it is good to know that the Wildcats have their head coach.
