Kansas State Women’s Basketball (11-1) stayed still in the polls this week, holding at No. 13 in the AP Poll and No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. However, the Wildcats took a one-spot drop in the NET rankings, coming in at fourth in the country.
On Saturday, K-State used a strong second half to defeat Middle Tennesee State in the Bill Synder Classic. Wildcats struggled in the against the Blue Raiders, shooting a season-low 39 percent on the night. The Cats had an explosion of offense in the second half, knocking down seven from beyond the arc after halftime.
Bracketology Breakdown
Most bracketologies again have the Cats hosting the first two rounds in Bramlage. ESPN has the Wildcats staying on the 3-seed line. The Wildcats have been holding a three-seed for a majority of the non-con schedule, with good conference play the Cats could easily slide up into a two-seed.
Big 12 Rankings Rundown
The Big 12 again proves it is going to be a hard conference to play in. Here are the rankings in order (AP Poll, USA Today Coaches Poll, NET rankings): TCU (11, 13, 8), K-State (13, 12, 4), West Virginia (14, 14, 10), Baylor coming in at 21 in both the coaches and NET, Iowa State at 23 in the coaches, and Utah and Oklahoma State just on the outside of the top 25 in the NET.

A Look Ahead at the K-State Schedule
K-State will play their final non-con game against New Mexico tonight in Manhattan, looking for their twelfth win of the 13-game non-con schedule. The Wildcats are looking to stay hot from behind the arc from Sophomore Taryn Sides who is shooting 35-of-63 from three. Sides’s three-point shooting percentage of .556 is second in the nation.
