MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State University is gearing up for its annual All-University Career Fair, set to take place at Bramlage Coliseum from September 24 to September 26, 2024. With 412 employers in attendance, the event promises a wealth of opportunities for students across various fields.
The career fair will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, featuring different industries:
Day 1 (Sept. 24): Focus on Agriculture, Food & Environment, Health Professions, and Veterinary Medicine.
Day 2 (Sept. 25): Dedicated to Business & Leadership, Art, Architecture, Design & Communications, and Humanities, Education, Societies, Law & Government.
Day 3 (Sept. 26): Emphasizing Engineering, Construction & Math, and Sciences, Computers & Info Systems.
Student Tips for Success
To make the most of the career fair, students are encouraged to follow these key tips:
Bring Multiple Copies of Your Resume: Utilize the Career Center's Resume and Interview Guide for crafting an effective resume. Schedule a Resume Tune-Up appointment before the fair for a quick critique or visit The Studio on the second floor of the Career Center for drop-in reviews available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dress Professionally: Access free business attire at the Career Closet, open to all K-State students from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Research Companies in Advance: Use Handshake to identify which companies will be present each day based on their recruitment needs.
Prepare Your Elevator Pitch: Develop a concise 30-second summary highlighting your background and career interests.
