A computer science professor at Kansas State University and machine learning researcher with interests in knowledge discovery databases, information extraction and knowledge-based systems. William obtained his masters in Engineering, Computer Science at The John Hopkins University, before completing his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois in Computer Science.
