Already in the Halloween spirit? Well K-State’s Union Program Council might have just the event for you!
This upcoming Saturday, October 13th UPC is putting on the 33rd annual showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The film is a 1975 science fiction and horror film that introduces actor Tim Curry and also features Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick. The film features a newly engaged couple that finds themselves lost and is soon swept into the world of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Transylvania. Not only is this event a showing of this famous horror film. It’s also an event full of activities for the student body.
Some of the annual events include a costume contest and a virgin auction which singles out all ‘virgins’ that will be watching the film for the first time. Mary Renee will host this year’s screening event once again and will provide lots of opportunities for participants to get involved within the movie.
Not only can students feel free to reflect the diversity of our campus through their very own creative costumes, they can expect a comical and entertaining night ahead of them!
The event will start at 10:30pmfor the pre-show activities and the film will officially show at midnight. Admission to this event includes a complimentary prop bag. You can also catch the Wildcat 91.9 at the event handing out freebies and mingling with the Rocky Horror participants! For more information, you can visit http://www.k-state.edu/upc/. Get those costumes ready and be prepared to step into a whole new world of Rocky Horror.
