Rules for 91.9 URBAN
- KNOW 91.9 station policies.
- Attend ALL required staff meetings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays in K004.
- Respect all executive staff members, including assistants.
- Promote next show on schedule.
- Fill out ALL logs in station: Operation and Request!!!
- You must turn in 3 air checks and evaluations during the semester.
- You must participate in 2 promotions during the semester.
- Be courteous to this opportunity.
Specifics for Urban DJs
- If you have been a DJ less than one year, you must have a co-host.
- You must write 2-one-paragraph CD reviews of a newly released (no earlier than 2005) CD each month!!!
- Please inform the Urban Director/ Assistant Director of any new music you would like…we WILL be on top of that this year. J
- Always have something of substance to talk about on air, write everything down before you talk about it…you may be surprised.
- Don’t be boring…this is urban, try to be entertaining…don’t get it twisted; you gotta be SMART about it!
Urban Disciplinary Action
- If you miss a staff meeting, you will NOT DJ the following week.
- You are responsible for e-mailing me (naomi2@ksu.edu) two days prior to missing a shift, even if you have a co-host. If not, you will not DJ the following week.
- If you fail to uphold the rules of the station and the urban department, you will e given one verbal warning, one written (e-mail) warning, and then you will be suspended.
- NO UNATHORIZED PEOPLE are allowed in the station…if you obtain the Urban Director’s permission, there should be no more than 5 people in the station (reception area included) at one time!!! (naomi2@ksu.edu)
